Back from holidays

We have just came back from our 1 month holiday. Apologies to everyone if we have not been able to answer your queries and questions.

    Hi I have a chinchilla and he will not eat treats such as apples any suggestions?

    Is the apple dried? Chinchillas have personalities like us. Some may like it and some may not like. I have got a chin that doesnt like wheatabix but the rest rust and fight for it.

    So I guess it is just that he doesnt like apples then.

    Another thing to note is that chins do not eat much fresh fruits and vegetables. They can only eat dried fruits and veg. Most people would get a machine (i forgot the exact name for it) that dries the fruit and veg so that they can be fed to chins.

    The other alternative is to feed the chin wheatabix before giving the fresh apple as it will aid in digestion.
